Idemitsu Mako’s video work “Another Day of A Housewife” (1977) is now on a display at Barbican Center in London. The show is called “The Japanese House: Architecture and Life after 1945” and described as:
…UK’s first major exhibition exploring Japanese domestic architecture from the end of the Second World War, a period which has consistently produced some of the most influential and ground-breaking examples of modern and contemporary design.
As one of well known female experimental film/video artists of the period, inclusion of her work is significant.
The venue is located in the heart of the City of London. If you happen to be near by, please stop by.
